This is the 1990 first edition of this excellent reference book describing the Macmillan file copy used to evaluate the quality of printing of Lewis Carroll's classic story. It is supplemented by Schiller's index of Tenniel's original preliminary drawings for both ALICE and LOOKING-GLASS. Condition: 8vo.112 pages including index. "10'' x 6.5''. Original color pictorial boards, crimson endpapers and illustrated in black-and-white throughout, with a fold-out of Tenniel sketches.
